#61 A sock

A black sock! You have never seen one of these before.

#60 A tshirt

Just ever slightly too long for my liking. I bought this at a Gogol Bordello show in Vancouver. The show was lots of fun, I was pretty drunk, and I made out with multiple girls. Hurray!

Still lots of these though.

#56 A long sleeved shirt

Yes, that's Astro Boy again. This fits kind of weird, but the design on the front is a hologram _and_ a pocket. Amazing. Yes, it is from that ValueVillage all of my clothes seem to come from.

This is what it says on the back (presumably written by Osamu Tezuka):

What I try to say
through my work is simple.
My message is as follows
"Love all creatures!
"Love everything that has life|
I have been trying to express
in different ways through
my work the message such as:
"Preserve nature."
"Bless life."
"Be careful of civilization
that puts too-much
stock in science."
"Do not wage war."
And so on...

#54 Underwear

These are my least favourite pair of underwear. I should probably get rid of them or something, but they still function.

#53 A tshirt

Fighting, Reds! Korea Forever!

I bought this in South Korea while they were in the grip of soccer/football fever (again) during the 2006 World Cup. I really enjoy that it could be seen as either a pro or anti communist slogan. I only wear this occasionally to sleep in, it's pretty beat up.

The black suit Spider-Man costume logo! Amazing! While on the adult sizes the logo is also on the back, the chidlren's sizes (like this one) are lacking it.

And back to socks.

#46 A boot

It's possible that these are worth more than all of my other clothes combined. (Which isn't saying much to be perfectly honest.)

I bought these from the Vegetarian Shoes store in Brighton when I was down there for the Zine Fest earlier this year. I was incredibly excited! An entire store of vegetarian shoes! I'd been looking for vegetarian shoes for over a year at that point (the style/size combination I was looking for always out of stock in whatever store I happened to visit), and was rocking some totally thrashed sneakers I'd gotten from a free box in a punk house in San Francisco.

I've never owned a pair of "proper" (ie. high) boots like these before, and I was thrilled that I would now have footwear that would go with my dress better than sneakers. I haven't had a chance to wear them in combination yet.

#45 A hat

A hat! Not a very good one admittedly, but those are super expensive and I'm not sure if I could justify the cost. I bought this for Halloween last year (and also for dressing up fancy), but now I just wear it out sometimes. Though it doesn't really work that well with my Tintin haircut.

#44 A waist coat

I will reveal that, to the great surprise of many of you I am sure, this item was actually purchased new. It is also, like the last several items, pin-striped.

#43 Trousers

I'm calling these trousers since they are clearly so classy and were purchased in the UK. They came from some random charity shop, and I was kind of surprised to find them since the selection of guy's clothing in the (huge number) of (tiny) charity shops here is generally terrible.

#42 A shirt

Purchased at the same Valvil in Vancouver that all of my clothes seem to have come from this shirt has a really nice old style pointed collar, and was nice enough that the girl at the checkout complimented it when I made my purchase.

#41 Tights

Worn with the dress seen in yesterday's post. These aren't fancy at all, but if I don't post I won't have enough pieces of clothing for fancy week.

#40 A Dress

To celebrate the fact that I am going to the Oxford Lindy Exchange this weekend (hurray dancing!) this week I will be posting all of my fancy clothes. (Note: None of my clothes are very fancy.)

First up is a dress, bought from the same Value Village as many other things on this site. I remember going with a friend to buy it and the woman in charge of the changing rooms being a total jerk! So mean. I ended up trying this on in an aisle instead. I am made of classiness. However, I was excited to find a dress that didn't have boob space, those are things I do not have or want.

I sincerely doubt I'll be wearing it this weekend, and I haven't actually worn it that many times as I'm afraid of something happening. But I do wear it to fancy events such as art show openings (where I was once proclaimed "belle of the ball" by some drunk girls). I mostly just think it's funny.

Here is a photo of me wearing the dress to a medical themed goth fetish night.

#35 A tshirt

A Cheburashka tshirt I goto from a Value Village in Vancouver. Considering how many of my clothes seem to have came from that one Valvil I wish I could go to it now that I need/want more clothes.

Anyway, Cheburashka is an adorable Russian monkeybear thing. She/he appeared in a number of stop motion animations that are pretty cute, and is presumably adored by everyone in former Soviet countries. This tshirt is actually from Japan, which adores cute things no matter where they're from. I picked up a couple of Cheburashka notebooks in Tokyo a few years ago.

#33 Underwear

A Korean girl I went out with for a while bought these for me. So fancy! Even better is that they say "Elle Homme". (Yes, they are for boys.)

#32 A sock

These are the socks I wear with my boots (coming soon!), as otherwise they're too big on me.

#31 A tshirt

£1.50 in Primark children's section. Killer!
